Legal Meets Luxury: Stroud Office Flooring Installation

When the team at Montpellier Legal opened a new office in Stroud, they wanted it to feel just as polished and professional as their flagship workplace in Cheltenham. Having worked with their fit out partners before, they knew that we were a team that understood their vision (and who they could trust to execute it, achieving that high-end finish on a smaller scale).

It was our job to match the signature style of their Cheltenham office using luxurious office flooring that delivered on durability, design consistency and zoning.

The Challenge: Compact Space, Big Expectations

Whilst the Stroud office might be slightly smaller, there was no scaling back on quality. With multiple zones in the office sharing a footprint – reception, meeting rooms, lounges, staff desks – the flooring had to do a lot of the heavy lifting in the office design. We needed to deliver a solution that helped define those spaces, manage footfall and contribute to the overall acoustic comfort in the office.

This meant our flooring specification had to be spot on – visually, practically and in terms of long-term performance.

The Solution: Getting it Right in Every Corner

We always love working as part of a wider project team – and this one was no different. Collaborating closely with key commercial designers and project leads, we worked in step with their layouts, finishes and timeline to complete the flooring installation exactly as planned.

For this space, carpet tiles were a clear choice. Easy to install, maintain and replace, they’re perfect for office areas with high foot traffic and evolving needs. The modular format also gave us more freedom to work with zoning patterns, which was essential on this project.

We specified Shaw Contract carpet tiles. The range provided exactly the texture and tone needed to align with Montpellier Legal’s established look, whilst also being tough enough to handle day-to-day use without showing signs of wear.

Zoning Through Design

A huge focus for this Stroud office flooring installation was zoning. We needed to create a clear separation between work areas, without breaking up the open-plan design. Using a mix of textures and patterns to distinguish spaces, we helped define the reception, lounge and desk areas, while guiding natural movement throughout the office. It’s a subtle but impactful way to make a compact layout feel structured and intentional.

Consistency with Cheltenham

To keep visual continuity with their flagship office, we carried through the same Shaw Contract carpet tiles within key areas, particularly the meeting rooms. This was the perfect way to tie the two locations together in terms of brand identity and also ensure a high-end, commercial-grade finish that holds up to daily wear.
